News Headlines On the master cleanser

The master cleanse worked great for me. My wife and I did it for 10 days and after the first 3 it was fairly easy if a little monotonous. It is amazing how much time you have every day when you eliminate food shopping, preparation, eating, and doing dishes. She lost 12lbs and I lost 10lbs over the 10 days, but the real benefit was that it allowed us to see food in a different way, seeing a slice of bread or a handful of grapes as a satisfying meal. After the master cleanse this new perspective on food has continued to make us lose weight (another 10lbs in the last 3 weeks). I can also recommend the book “The Jon Gabriel Method” which helps get you in a good mental state for losing weight.

  1. I can’t believe that anyone would pay $70 for some tea and maple syrup that you could purchase at Whole Foods or any organic coop for no more than $20???

  2. I did The Master Cleanse for 10 days about 6 months ago and I can tell you it really works. I felt great! I am now living in an extremely remote place and tried to do this again but failed after the first couple of days, but I think it was because I wasn’t using the prescribed ingredients. I couldn’t find Senna tea, so I used laxative pills. I had sea salt, but not the right kind, and I also didn’t have Grade B organic maple syrup, just regular Grade A. I am wanting to try this again, so this time I’m ordering this kit, which seems like a fair price since it includes everything you need. Only thing I have to say about this kit is that you could probably use more like 80 oz. of syrup, not 64.

Overall, give this cleanse a fair shot and I promise you will not be disappointed!

It would be extremely convenient to get this set for your first master cleanse. The items are all correct to maximize your results, and it takes much of the guesswork out of the equation for beginners. My only issue is that similar items can be purchased somewhere like Whole Foods for far less, around $40 individually. Still, beginners who are unfamiliar with what to buy could do far worse than this set.

This shipped out really quick and I was looking forward to starting it. I did everything you’re supposed to and lasted for two days. I stopped because I got really sick from it. The tea gave me horrible stomach cramps and I felt really dizzy- not to mention the lemonade tasted terrible. The syrup also tastes gross so I still have this huge thing of syrup just sitting in my cabinet. HOWEVER- in those two days, I did end up losing a couple pounds.

  5. I am purchased this product cause I want a new beginning on life. This product should remove 10yrs of red meat deposits in my intestinal walls and I wanna remove those toxins from my body and curb my diet in a positive way.

  6. I have used the cleanse and it is well worth the effort. I have great energy and am no longer sluggish. Feeling better than I have in 20 years and I am one who has taken care of myself, so I thought.

    You will not be sorry

  7. The three stars are for this book, not the cleanse, which is five-star all the way!

I am on day 18 of the master cleanse, so I think my opinions on this book have some validity. I have in fact been drinking less than half the recommended daily amount of the stuff, and as long as I get enough prana/chi from fresh air and drink tons of pure water, I never need more than that. I feel wonderful and will keep doing it until my body tells me it’s time to stop. My body never lies to me.

Having been vegetarian for 20 years this summer, and organic-only much of that time, I am no stranger to fasting, cleansing and detoxing. For those who are, this is a fair introduction to going for maximum internal cleanliness…but there are many much better books on the subject (Bernard Jensen is a good start). As well, Woloshyn puts far too much extraneous personal stuff about his life in the book; it’s really about him more than the cleanse.

The cleanse is largely about eliminating pointless things from your system, and I think this book is also somewhat pointless, considering that all of this info and about a hundred times more is available for free at various websites, most specifically themastercleanse in dot-org-land. That site has endless testimonies and much more info in general than this book. And it’s free.

Woloshyn also doesn’t give enough credit to Stanley Burroughs, the real mastermind behind the master cleanse. Burroughs wrote a very simple little booklet to sell as cheaply as possible. His goal was true health for all, not personal aggrandizement or profit. Woloshyn merely does what so many modern health writers are doing: take a proven old idea and market it under his name.

All you really need to know is this: you MUST use organic lemons and grade B maple syrup (wherein live the essential nutrients; buy it bulk online and save a ton over Whole Food’s price).
Above all, use as much cayenne as you can stand. I use about ten to twelve times the recommended amount, but my body loves the stuff (endless thanks to Jethro Kloss for that idea, in his incomparable Back To Eden). Perhaps that’s why I need so little every day: the peppers really get the body humming.
And then drink at least 12 glasses of water a day.

    And really, that’s it.

Enemas are highly recommended to take the cleanse to another level. But even then, they are not essential, though very wise. Making sure everything is organic and going into top-grade filtered water is. That, and lots of sun and fresh air. One quickly learns that that’s where the real source of life lies. Stepping into air conditioning and feeling one’s blood sugar plummet is a strong lesson about our lifeless modern environment. I’ve ingested maybe a few thousand calories in the last 18 days. How could I be feeling so healthy and alive if we really needed 2,000 calories a day? Long walks in the woods (alone or with a happy dog!) also aid immensely in grounding the spirit and bringing much joy. Nature never looks and feels so sparkling as when one is cleansing.

For those who need a book in their hands to guide them, this is ok. But the original booklet works just as well, and the website I mentioned covers all that’s in this book, and so much more.

Not a bad book…but hardly essential. And when the whole point of cleansing is stripping away all but the essentials, why buy something that’s hardly essential?

  8. I personally found this to be an excellent book. It’s well written and easy to understand. Recommend it highly for anyone interested in taking control of their health. Also recommend his other book – “Beyond The Master Cleanse”.

  9. Ingersoll says:

The Complete Master Cleanse offers down-to-earth guidance, background information, health tips and much more. For a good price, this book has it all in one place for the reader to use, as needed. Yes, you could locate all this information on the internet, or in a variety of health and wellness books. If you research The Master Cleanse on the internet, you’ll locate a variety of sources all saying different things, in a myriad of manners, some great, some okay and some repugnant. However, if you have the book, it’s all in one place and delivered in a non-assuming manner. I didn’t feel that the author was grandstanding or talking from a pedestal; what a relief that was. I didn’t have the feeling this was a “cure all” approach, just a way to be healthier, in a reasonable way.

The Complete Master Cleanse will save you time, and keep you motivated to understand how to be healthy and the reasonable steps required. Mr. Woloshyn gives acknowledgment to his teacher, and the creator of the Lemonade Diet, Stanley Burroughs. You may also want to read about Mr. Burroughs’ very interesting life, some of which resulted from his life-long pursue of helping people and promoting his diet as a means to cleanse ones system and regain energy and health. Mr. Burroughs was also an advocate of colored light therapy, deep massage, reflexology and other Nature Cure methods, which Tom Woloshyn includes in his book.

I appreciated the clean, organized manner of writing, and editing. I found the broad-based approach to natural health information, physical, mental and spiritual well-being, reasonable not soap-boxy. I found this great little book worthwhile and … no time-chewing here.

  10. I am the last person to fall for some fad diet, but looked into master cleanse because I was looking for a detoxification that was natural and had heard great things from my sister who had done it. I have yet to do the cleanse, but I attribute it to this book’s detail and warnings about being serious about the cleanse from day 1 to day 10. When I know I am ready to commit the full 10 day minimum I will start it. And because of this book I feel I will be able to do it right with my eyes wide open.

  13. This short and to the point guide is all I needed to sucessfully achieve the master cleanse for the second time in a year. I actually had to buy a few extra copies for friends because they kept asking to borrow my only copy. Great gift. The price is a good buy.

  14. Kirkpatrick says:

This is the absolute, best cleanse I have ever done! I have rheumatoid arthritis and I did the cleanse for three weeks once and for ten days once. I felt energised, slept extremely well, and my joints quit hurting! I try to follow a “clean” diet for arthritis after and have done very well! Excellent cleanse!!!

  15. I have been using this book for 10 days now, and all I can say is WOW. My entire body, from my head to my toes, feels rejuvenated and energized – and it has only been ten days! Dr. Tombk has made a believer out of me – and that is the highest compliment I can give. At first, I was a little skeptical because of the bad reviews, but I decide to throw caution to the wind and go for it…and why not? All the other health guides proved to be nothing more than repeats of techniques that have been proven they don’t work. This guide, however, utilizes alternative methods not common in the US and applies them in an easy-to-use formula, that… that just work. So if you’re tired of the same ole advice found in all the different health guides (like I am) come on, they don’t work. Try this guide. The ideas are easy to follow and presented in a fun and informed style that will have you saying WOW in less than 2 weeks.

  16. A close friend introduced me to the Master Cleanse — no not Beyonce! My friend gave me a copy of Stanley’s book and sent me on my way. I read the book right away and tucked it in the drawer for a few months. The good thing is I never forgot what I read. It transformed my life because it changed my way of thinking, e.g., you’ll die if you don’t eat solid foods. Well, several months later, I re-read the book and located other resources to help understand the benefits of cleansing the colon and digestive track. I just started the MC for the fourth time in two years. The benefits are great and thanks to so many folks for posting journal entries and other commentary, I felt safe from the start. There is a strong movement in our country to become physically and emotionally fit and African Americans are part of that movement, too. Thank you to each and every author who takes the time to emphasis this special program that uses simple and afford ingredients. Tennesseeans Love the Master Cleanse!

  17. I tried some kind of herbal cleanse a few years ago and didn’t do very well. I recently decided to try another cleanse again, but this time I read Peter Glickman’s “Lose Weight, Have More Energy & be Happier in 10 Days”. This was my success factor. It not only gives you the master cleanse guidelines, but what to expect and the changes in your body along the way. The lemonade tastes great and the plan is easy to follow. I have done 3 master cleanses now and each time I read through the book first, and feel great at the end.
I recommend this book to anyone wanting to do a successful cleanse, this is definitely the best one out there and you will be amazed at how good you can feel!
